Does Metride work without internet?

Yes. Route finding and the station database are stored locally on your device, so you can search routes and check fares fully offline. Some features like live map updates or background sync may require a brief internet connection.

Why does the app need my location?

Location access is used to:

  • Find the nearest metro station
  • Trigger reliable station alarms as you approach your stop

Your location is used only when these features are active and is not continuously tracked.

Why isn’t my alarm ringing?

Please ensure Metride has Background Location and Notification permissions enabled.

On some Android devices, aggressive battery optimization may stop alarms from running. We recommend excluding Metride from battery optimization in your system settings.

Is the data for my city accurate?

We regularly update station and route data. If you notice a new station or a route change, contact us and we’ll verify and update it as quickly as possible.
